happy december, folks
It is December 1.
Officially beginning the 14 day countdown until I go home.
Finals is also creeping up.
I just finished by psychology reaction paper after I speed-read through 243 pages (sorta) of an assigned book.
Now I have to start a 10 page paper on an advertising agency.
Both are due tomorrow.
Don’t procrastinate, kids.
A month until 2011. A month and 9 days until I study...

No, I can’t help thinking we grew up too fast…

hapz thanks, all
There was so much food today. Food coma. I can barely build up the energy to type right now. And so it was a great day.
Although it feels obligatory to write a list of things I’m thankful for, I don’t think I will. I don’t think I can. I will say this though - I am thankful.

"A day without laughter is a day wasted."
- Charlie Chaplin
I said this quote to the lead operations staffer at work, and she thought it was the most wonderful thing. She then proceeded to cut out a small black piece of paper and stuck it right below her nose. She also grabbed someone’s black hat and danced.
I love where I work.

we are so smooth now...
Everything about last night played out in my favor. Here comes my Morning Benders recount.
I had two back to back classes before my concert. Originally I was going to skip my 2:00 class so that I could get into the city early for a good spot. Turns out the professor said class was mandatory on that particular day. I ended up staying for that class and taking the later train in. I knew that...

The cast of Harry Potter attempt the American accent.
I found this on my Facebook wall and watched it. Sure got a a kick out of hearing them say “Boo-yah.” American - That’s the freedom language.
resisting the urge to sleep
I had such a hard time falling asleep last night and for no reason, really. I just laid it bed for four hours and kept tossing and turning. I’m sure I fell asleep for a bit at some point, but every time I drifted back, I felt as though I never closed my eyes. Sometime around 5 AM I noticed the huge rainstorm we had. I suppose that was soothing, minus the loud thuds that startled me.
I...

I think I'm going to Boston...
Sorry, I’m sure Augustana’s “Boston” has definitely outplayed it’s reference to the actual city.
Anyway, I finally booked my Bolt Bus ticket to Boston for Thanksgiving. Third year in a row, what can I say? It’s a tradition now. I’m excited for a couple reasons:
I’m taking the BOLT bus. I hear good things about it.
I get to see my friends!

a week (of concerts) in review
It was a good week. Two concerts!
11/10/10: Jonsi at Hammerstein Ballroom Incredible. Mountain Man opened and all I can say is..Their harmonies were spot on. As for Jonsi…hmm.. Sigur Ros set a good standard for “uplifting” and “inspirational,” but I think Jonsi took hope to another level. We were in the presence of something glorious, hahah. I wish he interacted...

change of plans
So the Yeasayer concert I told you about? I thought it was tomorrow or the week after, but nope…it’s actually today. Yeah, really last minute but Alison and I decided we’re going! LET’S GO-WHOA-OH.
