a week and a half later
At work, I end up talking to a lot of local shoppers.  They have a slight tinge of pidgin stuck in their speech and I’ve noticed mine conforming to it too.  I’ll attach “yeah” to the end of sentences every so often, drop words, or add weird inflections…I don’t know. I just find it funny. It’s not even midnight yet and I have to consider sleeping. Closed...

I had to do phone campaigning at work yesterday.  Called a good 150 people or so.  Diana is a really common name. There was one time I had to say, “Hi Helen. It’s so nice to be back home.  13 hours of flying and I’m glad to be on the ground again. I really need my DS next time. I have about three days of dashboard posts to look through. I don’t know if I’ll have the energy to catch up.  In the meantime, I’m going to eat some home-cooked dinner.  Something I’ve been craving since I left.
