a thanksgiving miracle

We were heading north from Poughkeepsie to Boston when our car overheated and blew crazy smoke all over. It look like we had just set the town on fire. We got as far as Rhinebeck and had turn call AAA. Stood in the cold rain for an hour before a cab finally arrived to take us back to campus.
Awesome start to the week. At least we weren’t stuck in the middle of the highway.

eleven days until thanks
I make a conscious effort not to groan about wanting to graduate sooner because I know some of my friends genuinely enjoy college and don’t need the extra Debbie Downer in their lives. Or it’s the opposite. I have friends that also hate school and want to graduate already, but instead of perpetuating that cycle of negativity, I try to suppress it.
But today is worse than others. So...
