Canada was pretty great. Granted, the weather was horrible (but what did we expect) for the first few days. March 13th = coldest day of my life. I came back with a new found hatred for snow shoes and freezing rain and a new found love for creme brulees. So much food was consumed that week. I feel like I need to restart my stomach or something (…wha?).

And I also love the Adirondacks. I’m going to my name first dog Adirondack. Or Adi..Addy..Addie? It’s been decided. Upstate NY rocks.

  • GOTYE CONCERT TONIGGGHT. It’s the first I’m going to this semester. Pretty crazy considering last semester I probably would’ve gone through five by now. Restraint.
  • I forgot to turn in my withdrawal form to the Registrar’s Office…oops.
  • All these graduation forms…duties…whatnot. I think I’m going to skip the ceremonial name recording because I don’t think there’s ANY possible way my name can be mispronounced.
  • HEY CASLENE AND KELSEY WHEN ARE WE GONNA HANG AGAIN HUH?

My roommate and I went to Maryland this past weekend to pick a few items up for our trip to Canada next week. I’m surprised by how quickly spring break came around. Shortly after that, it’ll be Easter weekend. The next 75 days are going to go faaast.

  • I’ve been abnormally tired this last week and a half. I get the proper amount of sleep but I’m groggy the entire day.
  • Well, I’ll be heading north for spring break, so maybe the freezing cold will wake me up.
  • Why did we decide to go somewhere cold for SPRING break?
  • I’m really glad I don’t live in NYC. I feel like people who live in the city are so absorbed in that city lifestyle that they forget there’s a whole lot of upstate goodness.
  • On that note, I want to go to the Catskills.

SPC is in the process of finalizing our new board for the Fall 2012 semester. It’s really weird to think that I won’t be on the exec board anymore. I hope saying this doesn’t make me lame, but being in SPC was probably one of the best parts of Marist College. Transitioning out is going to be the wake up call. I’m excited to graduate, and I often joke with Alison that it’s probably a bad thing that we’re so excited to leave. This is one aspect I’m going to miss leaving behind. I can imagine Courtney reading this and saying, “Awww!”
Enough of that. Now onto more random and mindless news.
  • Spring break Canada plans are moving along. We’re going to Mont-Tremblant Reserve, Quebec City, and then finally Montreal. PUMPED.
  • I marathon’d Friday Night Lights season 1 in a week. Let’s see how fast I’ll get through season 2.
  • Up until senior year of college, I never touched a single video editing software. Suddenly, I have two classes that want me to learn Avid/Final Cut Pro.
  • I just wanna say how much I love my indie music class. I wasn’t sure what to make of it when I first registered because…well, come on. What do you learn in a class called “Indie Music and Festival Scene”? Let me answer you. We learn a lot about music and festival culture. It’s one of the most engaging classes I’ve had here, hahah. This Woodstock book that I’m reading is cool. I want to go to Woodstock. It’s only an hour or so away…

  • I could really go for a Chipotle burrito bowl right now.
  • Sometimes, I need to remind myself that I don’t like certain foods and certain foods don’t like me. My brain likes to trick me into thinking, “Oh, this time it’ll be different…” But it rarely ever is. So NTS: stay away from coffee, diet soda, and heavy dairy products.
  • Despite having a light course load this semester, I find that my schedule is still packed.
  • Squeezing in one last snowboarding trip this Saturday before the season is over. I’m gonna make sure my body aches the next morning (I’m gonna have to chaperone another broadway trip bright and early on Sunday, too).
  • I can’t wait until spring. The flowers are confused by the weather. The crocuses think it’s warm enough to bloom, but the snow’s like, “PSYCH.”
  • I originally spelled that “sike” but googled it to learn that the “proper” spelling is “psych.”

  • Chicken lau lau. Poke. Acai bowl. Craving it.
  • I made bacon wrapped everything for the Super Bowl party last night. I need to make bacon wrapped asparagus again. That was awesome.
  • Madonna. “Everyday I’m stumbling.” Awk, but crazy slackliner named Sketchy Andy was cool.
  • Alison and I are hoping to go to Canada for spring break and I’m researching a  bunch on it. Not sure if my other two housemates are up for it, but fingers crossed, it will happen!
  • Useless post is useless.

Hi. I feel like it’s been a while. Winter break was great. Let’s be real, home rarely lets me down. I’ve been back on campus for a week now and almost automatically, I felt myself reverting into the same funk I was in before I left. At least my course load is hella light this semester (kudos to myself for taking capping last fall). Instead, I’m working.

  • Forced to wake up early on most days. Everyone knows I’m not a morning person, but I’m getting paid so I won’t complain.
  • I watched all seven seasons of How I Met Your Mother this past break. Want new episode…
  • Chinese New Year has always been my favorite holiday. Sucks being in cultureless Poughkeepsie for it.
  • Sorry, not cultureless. Just Asian-culture-less.
  • In other news, Marist had a rough weekend. And just because it’s not said enough until something this devastating happens, I hope you all know that you’re awesome. And I love you guys. Forreal.
  • That is all for now.

Finals are OFFICIALLY over. All assignments have been submitted. All exams are done.

Got in last night. I’m so happy to be home again. I’m really looking forward to moving back home after I graduate. I started working at Nordstrom again. This is my fifth year, guys. FIVE YEARS with Nordies. I’m so glad they keep letting me come back, even if it’s just for a couple weeks.

Judging at the McKinley Speech Tournament tomorrow. Just like the good ol’ days.

YEEEEEEEE.

I still have to present tomorrow morning and write a short thesis paper by next week, but the majority of my capping project is DONE! This feels so great. Monstrous weight lifted off my shoulders.

After this semester is over, I might as well be done with school. Honestly, once capping is complete…I’m just gonna be here for kicks (minus that Broadcast Comm class that I have to take to complete my major).

I think after finals might be a good time to reactivate my Facebook. Hmmmm, I might just do it. Hahah, we’ll see.

This year’s Thanksgiving was truly one to remember. And I’m glad. Senior year…last one.

I think I’m actually going to blog today.
